Titles of Pages and Posts are the way to let our viewers know what they will find in the page or article to follow.

The Title of a page makes up the navigation for our site, for that reason specifically, we need to keep those especially short and to the point. However, we may need more information to grab our reader’s attention or to give more explanation as to what our page is about. When creating Titles or Subtitles, use important words (keywords) that describe the information that is in your Page or Post.  This will help in Search Engine Optimization, bringing your site higher in the list of items found when users are searching for information like that which is contained in your page.

To create a subtitle on our WordPress pages there is a text field in the Add New Post, Add New Page, Edit Post and Edit Page areas.

Just add the text, WordPress will add the colon for you.
